His name is spelled "Gilliam" on most documents, but it is spelled "Gillian" on his headstone. His father's name is spelled in a variety of ways also - Gillian, Gilliam, and Gilliland. Gilliland is on his father's headstone.
Not to be confused with Robert Gwilliam of Baltimore, Maryland, married to Lillian Stamp, with child named Robert Gwilliam.
