DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Enrique Treat or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree: It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Enrique Treat:

Hi Enrique,

Thank you for supporting WikiTree.

Hope you have seen my trusted list requests and private messages about Isabel (Cutter) Wilkinson (abt.1580-1656), Isaac Wilkinson (1588-1635) and Margaret (Wilkinson) Witchfield (abt.1600-1663).

Hoping you'll add me to the trusted lists so the work to improve and/or complete pending merges on the noted profiles may proceed. For the related research, see Wilkinson Research 2023.

Thank you for whatever assistance you are able to provide.--Gene

Enrique thanks. I forgot to mention that I'm on Wikitree. I have still a lot of work to do to put my whole tree on here, it's a slow process. I should spend time adding more.

I meant to post this a wee while ago but have been caught up working on other genealogy and Wikitree stuff.

Thanks for showing Scotland as one of your interests. If you haven’t yet done so, please join the Scotland project via the G-2-G topic. I hope you get a great deal of pleasure collaborating with colleagues in this great project. If you have any questions or wish any advice either send me a private message or email me.

Hello Enrique

Hi, Cousin Enrique!

We are 9th cousins, descended from Richard Treat Esq. (1584-aft.1669). I descend from Robert > Joseph > Stephen > Stephen > Amos > Leverett j > George H H > Helen.

They were part of the group that left Connecticut for upstate New York near Utica and, eventually, Union City, Pennsylvania.

I am trying to start a One Name Study for Treats; if you are interested, stay tuned.

Hello Cousin Sally,

Thanks for reaching out!

Yes, I am very interested and keep me posted.

By the way, are you also one of my genetic matches?

Enrique Treat Gleason

Hello Cousin Enrique,

Enrique Treat and Janine are 9th cousins four times removed

Thanks for reaching out! I tried viewing our connection but I was unsuccessful, perhaps because your profile is private and I am not one of your lucky cousins with access to your information. Please add me as a trusted family member so that I can review our connection and perhaps help you find additional connections.

Take care and have a wonderful day!

Enrique,

Nice to see your profile again!!!! Your picture, looks like you have a backpack and your travelling somewhere.

So glad you are here! Have you DNA tested your line of Gardner forefathers?

We have a Gardner One-Name-Study to assist you with your research.

If you could add Category: Gardner Name Study between [[ ]] to your profile, there's a sticker on the ONS for the Ancestors profiles! :-)

If you have not done so already, please set your preferences for your Tags Followed to include Gardner & any other tag terms that you wish to follow.

If you would like to help other Gardners, please find and add sources to any of these Unsourced Gardner profiles.

Are you related to me, Charlotte Shockey?

Hello Enrique,

I am a mentor here on WikiTree and I am curious about the match you removed for Porteus-6 and Porteus-101 - did you initially reject these two profiles when you created the profile Porteus-101?

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Hi Enrique Treat,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Add the project tag to your Following list to be kept up to date on any activity that occurs for that project.

Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)

In my early days of research (before my dna test) I had gathered many Reynolds. I now have over 175,000 folks in my research file so I possibly can answer a question or two on you roadblock Reynolds.

The Gardiners of Narrangansett is a book by Caroline Elizabeth Rodman. The folks in the book are assigned refernce numbers and I note the GN referernce number.

Ydna tests the genes that were transferred only to male descendants. There are a few reasons that one could have a different surname that that of the preponderance of other ydna matches. It is possible that a male Gardner was adopted by a Reynolds family and took on the Reynolds name. I think less likely that a married Reynolds had an affair a Gardner male and the Reynolds name kept.

Making the family tree public allows the fact that you have a DNA test 9or tests) propagate to the ancestors. If you want to mark either parent 'confirmed with DNA' then the bio needs to be public so that the confirmation can be seen.

Just a heads up . . . you added your yDNA test information to your profile but this test will not be connected to paternal-line family members unless the Privacy Level is changed to "Private with a Public Family Tree" or higher.
