DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:
I was wondering what your source was for the death date you have posted here. I realized too late that I have a profile for the identical person but we have way different death dates. Mine comes from find-a-grave, but there is no headstone or source for that date either so I am not sure what to use. I could not find William on an census later than 1870. We should merge our files. I will work on doing this by adding what I have in my file to yours. Will need to do same for his wife. I will also add his parents, but one needs to be merged to yet another file (different wifes).
That date came from my Grandmother's family. She was a Richardson and a direct descendant but I am like you an believe him to have died about 1875. You are welcome to correct it.
