Notes from Glover-2427 to one of his children: "Your great grandfather was John Glover (aside: I believe that I have his photo at our house) who was born on the N half of about lot 26 Con 4 Brock Twp (farm on which Ted Smith and Later Ken Woodward lived). He had two (at least) sisters - Mary and Sarah - Mary Rennie and Sarah Ferguson. As to the early history. Your great grandfather apparently in his early years operated or managed roadside Taverns. Just where I do not know. But my dad said he started to school and look after the fries (stove) about two miles south of Seargrave. Just when they bought the farm at N 1/2 Lot 14 Con 3 Brock I do not know. It was said that as a prank someone yelled fire when they were threshing and he jumped out of side entrance and hurt his bowels. They enlarge and he died from that. Is that Brights disease?"

Family oral history:

• May have had a brother named Thomas who (referred to in folklore as 'lover boy' who went out west... with census data I'm now wondering if the name to search out west for might be William instead.

...have found a William in 1891C Ward 5 Manitoba as a lodger

• Found a note on a record in familysearch.org that there was another child, William Allan Glover (must ask family if there was a child that died?).
