Caspar Glunz or Gluntz was born or baptized 27 APR 1825, in Hausen ob Verena, Wurttemberg, Germany.[1] He was the son of farmer Johannes Glunz and Fida Wanner.[2]
He was confirmed 21 Apr 1839 Hausen ob Verena, Wurttemberg, Germany.
After several years of either cohabitation or at least pre-marital relations (during which time they had at least two children), Caspar married Christina Rosina Schweizer on 20 May 1850 in Hausen ob Verena, Württemberg Germany.[3]; Family Register II-46b (Hausen ob Verena)[4][5]
Christina died and he married second Anna Haller 2 MAY 1865 in Hausen ob Verena.[6]
Caspar emigrated 1 Dec 1865 from Le Havre with brother Johannes and no wife.[8][9] He was listed as a farmer on the passenger list.
On 29 Aug 1867, he may have been the Caspar Gluntz, who was witness to a St. Peters church wedding in Buffalo, New York, of Johann Rapp & Carolina Haller (other witness was Johann Mueller).
In 1868 and 1869, he was living as a tailor at 193 Genesee.[10]
In 1870, he was living in Ward 4, age 39, tailor, enumerated with the Daniel Claces family, another tailor, [11]
He filed his intention to seek naturalization on 30 Jan 1871; naturalization was granted to him 21 Oct 1873[12]
By 1875, he was a widower with 3 children, including his daughter Rose and her husband Christian Haller and his father, Michael Haller. [13]
Caspar Gluntz died about 1877 in Buffalo, Erie, New York.
