John Goddard was born in 1684 in Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, son of Joseph Goddard (1656–1728) and Deborah Treadway (1657–1714).

His siblings were:

The son of Joseph who died in Brookline in 1734 was James, not John. There is only one John I have seen mentioned, and he was born in 1698, died in 1785.

Are there any sources you can add to this profile to clarify whether it really is John or James?
