On 12 June 1872 George Ernest Goddard was born to Victorine and Thomas Frederic Goddard. [1]
On 7 March 1900 Catherine Brough and George Ernest Goddard were married. [2]
Like his father, George was a butcher, found in electoral rolls from 1896 to 1925 in Waitara, and his wife is listed as Kate. She died in 1940. From 1928 he is listed as a labourer in Waitara, until 1960 when he is a pensioner. His location in 1963 was the Westown Hospital, New Plymouth.

In 1917 he was listed in the NZ World War I Army Reserve Rolls, 1916-1917, as a labourer living in Mouatt St, Waitara.
On 12 September 1963 he passed away, and is buried in the Waitara Cemetery, New Plymouth. [4]
