William Henry Godfrey was born in 1914 in Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England, United Kingdom, son of William Albert Godfrey (1891–1942) and Lilian White (1894–1977).
William's birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1914 in the Whitechapel district.[1]
William married Elsie Beatrice Clark (born in 1919 in 17 Bentham Road, South Hackney, London, England). Their son was William Albert Godfrey (1941–~1942).
William died on 21 June 1944 in Ovieto, Italy, aged 29 and recored as the son of William Albert and Lilian Godfrey; husband of Elsie Godfrey, of Clapton, London. [2]
