Biography

Sarah was born in 1625 and christened on March 10, 1625 in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.^[1]

John Clifford Sr. married first Sarah Unknown before 1645. They had four children. She died before 1657. ^{[2] [3] [4]}

Research Notes

• NOTE: There is no source for Sarah's maiden name being Godfrey and should be changed to Unknown - Sarah's son, John, married a Sarah Godfrey and this seems to be the source of the confusion.
• I have changed the death date to before 1657 per the statement in the biography. This is before the death of her last child.
