1873 Louis (known as Lewis) Golberg was born 17 Apr 1873 in Wisconsin to Peder Thorsen Golberg and Anne Jørgensen.^[1][2]

1899 Lewis married Mary Olson, daughter of Ole Olson and Mathea Thoresen, on 2 Dec 1899 in Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA.^[1]

1900 In 1900 Lewis and Mary were living in Edwards Township Raymond village, Kandiyohi, Minnesota with two of Lewis's brothers. All three brothers were farming.
