I am interested in searching my Golden, Dennis, Hilyer, Jackson, Hurst, Hutchinson sides. Most are from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, SC and NC. Some are rumored to have had plantations in those areas and I would be interested to know where they were located and what type of plantation they had (tobacco, cotton, farm, etc). Any information on the civil war era, WW1 and WW2 would also be of interest. I started my search in the early 1980 and although I have made progress there are so many questions and lines that seem to lead to a brick wall so finding some of those answers would be wonderful. I'm on Ancestry as well as 23 & Me and my tree is public in hopes that maybe I have something someone else has been searching for like I have and it will help them in their search.
