In the 1910 census, Louise and her husband, Will Maurer are listed in Ward 10 of Detroit, Michigan at 545 14th Ave., where they had a successful millinery shop in a nice section of town.:[2]
By the 1930 census, Lulu, who had been the oldest of twelve children, herself, was now a widow and living with her childless older of only two children, Ada (Maurer) Wallich, (in the house right next door to her other daughter with her husband and four children):[3]
Louise Golden (and husband, William Maurer,) are listed as the parents of Genevieve Maurer of Highland Park, Michigan who married Benedict H. Lee, attorney, of Detroit, Michigan (born in Indiana), son of John Lee and Louise Schnelker of Highland Park, Michigan. The service was performed by George J. Maurer, priest, and witnessed by Charles Jentzen and Ada Maurer.[4]
Mary Louise (Golden) Maurer passed away in 1948 Her death records lists her age of death as 81. Her date of birth is give as 28 Apr 1867, and her date of death as 24 Jul 1848. The place of death is Detroit, Michigan. Parents are listed as William Golden and Mary Lynch.[5]
