Biography

Erma was born in July 20, 1916 in Holton Michigan. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High Class of 1935. She attended St. Camillus School of Nursing, Borgoess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. and graduated in 1940.

Erma practiced nursing for several years before entering the U.S. Army Nurse Corp. during WW II as a registered nurse. She served in Europe and returned to the States where she was honorably discharged as a 1st Lieutenant in 1949.

She married in 1953 and settled down as a full-time mother, housewife and Sunday school teacher. During these years, she loved and cared for may foster children. Emma and Issac attended Parkside Alliance Church, where she faithfully served the Lord for 38 years as a Sunday school teacher and Deaconess. Her love lives on in her husband, Isaac F. Posey: her daughter Joy P. Rineer ofMilford.

Erma Goodell died of natural causes on Friday, August 1, 1997 at her home. by Lydia Holland, Thursday, January 15, 2015.
