Myrtle first married Commander Reginald Christien in 1769 at Souldrop, Bedfordshire, England. He died in 1750. She was a nurse by occupation and had three children. She moved to Hubberton, Pembrooke, Wales. In 1752 she married widower John Elliott who also had three children. They never had any children from this union.

The family died in a house fire in the year 1769. They are buried at Pemberton Cemetery.
