Biography

MRS. REBECCA LOWRY DIES Mrs. Rebecca Lowry, aged 93 years, mother of the late Theo Lowry, former Plum street grocer, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Porter at Blissfield, Mich, recently. The remains were brought to Ripley, Ohio, on last Sunday and buried there,. Mrs. Lowry is survived by two sons, besides her one daughter, Mr. Charles Lowry, of Chicago and Lieut. Oswin Lowry, of Columbus, Ohio.[1]

DEATH OF MRS. REBECCA LOWRY Mrs. Rebecca G. Lowry, aged 93 years, a former well known resident of Ripley, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Porter, at Blissfield, Mich., last Saturday. The body was brought to Ripley, Monday evening and taken to the home of Miss Lucy Stallcup. The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church, Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, Rev. A. L. South officiating, burial on the family lot in Maplewood cemetery. [2]

My ancestry of Rebecca Lowry says this. Rebecca Lowry is your first cousin 6 times removed's wife's great aunt's husband's great nephew's 1st wife. Together, we share my fifth great grandparents: John McDaniels, Jr. and Nancy Brooke McDaniel (Calvert). Nancy is the granddaughter of Hannah Calvert (Harrison) daughter to Benjamin Harrison, and sister to Gov. Benjamin Harrison, signer of the "Declaration of Independence", and father of two presidents - the 9th and 23rd presidents.
