Beatrix was born about 1490 daughter to Sir Alexander Gordon of Midmar and his wife Beatrice Hay.
She married about 1510 to Alexander Garden of Durlaithers. The Balbithan MSS erroneously gives her first husband as John Garden of Dorlaithers but it appears that it was his son Alexander whom she married[1]
Alexander Garden and Beatrix had issue:
After the death of Alexander Garden she married Ross of Auchlossin.[2]
Beatrix was granted conjunct infefment with her husband Charles Ross of Auchlossin in the barony of Auchlossin and its multures by RoyalCharter in Dec. 1545. [3]
On 3 April 1559, her son George Garden of Banchory represented her in court when she raised a Protestation at the Brief of Special Service of John Ross as heir to Charles Ross of Auchlossin as Breatrix held the lands in conjoint fee. (The Court record says John Garden of Banchory but in 1559 the laird was George Garden)[4]
