Biography

Oliver Barney (Miller?) Gordon was born 1 February 1869 in Lake Butler, Bradford County, Florida, the son of Cleman. T. Gordon and Nancy Crews Gordon. In 1885 he lived in Bradford County with his parents and siblings^[1].

He married Frances Addison 23 Aug 1888 in Bradford County^[2].

In 1900 they lived in Lake Butler, Bradford County with their children Opal, Sidney, Myrtie, Carlos, Effie, and Ernestine^[3]. They appear on the 1910^[4] census in Raiford, Bradford County, Florida with their children Sidney, Carlos, Effie, Earnestine, Odies, and Obie (Oliver). They were still in Raiford in 1920 with sons Ottie and Obie, and grandsons J.W. and C.T. Gordon living with them^[5].

Their son Otis married Wilma McClennans in 1924^[6] and son Obie married Elsie Stokes^[7].

He, Frances, and grandson C.T. lived in Raiford in 1935^[8].
