William Marvin 'Bill' Gordon, Jr. was born 21 December 21 1919 in Uvalda, Montgomery County, Georgia, the son of William Marvin Gordon, Sr. and Alviney Holmes Gordon[1]. In 1920[2] and 1930[3], he lived in Uvalda, Montgomery County with his parents and siblings.
He registered for the draft for World War II, naming his father as next of kin[4].

He died 21 May 1978 in Toombs County, Georgia[5] and was buried in Moseley Cemetery, Uvalda, Montgomery County, Georgia[1].
