I am the 2nd great granddaughter of Eliphalet Gordon father of my great grandmother Deborah Elizabeth Gordon. We have a terrible time getting a real picture of Eliphalet. Marion Otis did us no favor giving a couple of lines in her otherwise brilliant book about the descendants of Alexander Gordon. Her entry on Eliphalet simply added to the confusion. We have a cousin, Gary Gordon, whose DNA places him as a descendant of Alexander Gordon 1635. Also I have a number of shared DNA with Gordon descendants. My ancestry appears to be Alexander, Thomas, Daniel, Thomas, Eliphalet, Deborah Elizabeth Gordon. I'm pretty sure you didn't want all this information. ...Also I am sorry about my earlier comment about your relationship to well known people. Elizabeth Marian Sloane
Daniel is also the father of Thomas who is my ancestor.
Gordon-4382 and Gordon-1409 appear to represent the same person because: same name, same time frame, same child, same location, same time frame
