Biography
Capt. William Gordon served with 2nd Spartan Regiment, South Carolina Militia (Brandon's) during the American Revolution.
William was born in 1742. William was the child of John Gordon and Ruth Andrews.
He married Elizabeth Posey. William's will lists 3 children:[1]

William fought in the American Revolution.[2]
After William's death, Elizabeth married Philip Awbrey before 1790.[1]
