Andrew Gordon, son of Thomas Gordon and Mary Golden, was born in 1829 in County Sligo, Ireland.
Andrew wed Isabella Dobbing, a native of County Antrim, Ireland. Andrew and Isabella had at least six children:

- James Gordon;
- Sarah Gordon;
- Andrew Gordon;
- Unnamed Baby Gordon.
