Research Notes
John has previously been shown on WikiTree as the child of Adam Gordon and Elizabeth Keith. This derives from The Scots Peerage.[1] Subsequent research appears to have disproved this relationship. See the Research Notes on the profile of Elizabeth Keith.
An Elizabeth Gordon, "the spouse qwilum" of Nicholas Erskine, is said to have let lands to her son John.[1] There is a profile at Keith-1986 for an Elizabeth Keith who is said to have married Nicholas Erskine.
