Some people have connected My G Grandmother as the daughter of John Clark Gorham, ( this connects the family to the ( President ) ( Jefferson's ) this is wrong. In her obituary it states that she grew to womanhood on her Maternal Grandparents plantation in Georgia near Warm Springs: also it states her birth year 1851. The Martha associated with John Clark Gorham was born in 1849.

Eldridge had passed by 1860 and apparently Sarah remarried after 1860; on the 1860 census Sarah has four children in the household.
