Shubael was a soldier in the Louisburg Expedition in 1745, a 'Captain in Lumbard's Co., Seventh Mass. Col. Shubael Gorham,' according to Mr. Claghorn. [1]
In 1735, Shubal Goreham petitioned the Governor of Massachusetts Bay to grant land to the survivors or their heirs who served in the Expedition of 1690.[2]
Shobal Goreham and Mary Thacher were joined in marriage the 2(torn) day of December 1708 John Thacher, J. P. citing Massachusetts Vital Records to 1850, Yarmouth, Vol. 1, p. 137, Massachusetts Vital Records to 1850 (Online Database: AmericanAncestors.org, New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2001-2010).
