Biography
Ellen (Gorman) Cowell was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)
Ellen was born about 1859. Ellen is the child of James Gorman and Eleanor Phillips. Ellen married George Cowell in 1880, and they had five known children in the BATHURST/WEST MACQUARIE districts:

- COWELL MARY A 12498/1883
- COWELL JAMES 14440/1885
- COWELL EVELYN 15693/1887
- COWELL GEORGE W 19595/1890
Ellen died in the Tarana railway accident in 1892 .
