Biography

Earl was born in Murphysboro, Ill., the son of Earl W. and Betty (Chancey) Baskin. He graduated from Murphysboro Township High School with the Class of 1962.

He served with the Marines in Viet Nam as a Naval dental technician. He enlisted in 1963 and served until 1968.

Earl and Rhonda Gay Woosley were married Jan. 10, 1969, in Murphysboro.

Please remove the incorrect mother for Earl:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gorman-1097 is not related to the Gormans, nor is Gorman his last name. I have sent suggestions to Find A Grave to correct the problem. Elizabeth (Baskin) Gorman was never married to Earl Baskin, nor does she have any Baskin children

According to Earl Robert's obituary, Betty Chancey Gorman WAS his mother. Florence was Earl Wilbur's second wife, whom he married in 1970. Betty Gorman's own obituary mentions Earl Robert Baskin as her deceased son.

I had no idea that my husband's aunt Betty was married before she married his uncle Don. Find A Grave has connected her memorial to her first husband, but has yet to connect her to her son.

On WikiTree, I connected aunt Betty to Earl's father and returned her as his mother. I apologize. I learned something new, today.
