Earl was born in Murphysboro, Ill., the son of Earl W. and Betty (Chancey) Baskin. He graduated from Murphysboro Township High School with the Class of 1962.
He served with the Marines in Viet Nam as a Naval dental technician. He enlisted in 1963 and served until 1968.
Earl and Rhonda Gay Woosley were married Jan. 10, 1969, in Murphysboro.
