Susie E. Gorrell was born 14 Jun 1870 in Miami County, Ohio, the daughter of Abraham Gorrell and Susannah Hipple. On 24 Sep 1894 in Miami County, Ohio, Susie gave birth to her only daughter, Zadel Bernice. The identity of Zadel's father is unknown.
Susie was married 29 Jul 1900 to John Jackson Pickering, the son of Samuel Beard Pickering and Sarah Eliza Headley. Susie and John had three sons together: Samuel Gorrell, George William Jackson, and Frederick Wayne. Susie resided in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio for the rest of her life. Susie died 5 Oct 1953 in Miami County, Ohio.[1]
