1914-1918 WWI Soldier Classification B. Sheep farmer living at Pukekuha Rd Raetihi 1925 Census Lists him as a Carrier Livingin Ward Street Raetihi, Waimarino

1935 Electoral Roll [6] Has him listed as a Farm labourer living at Horahora

1911 Sheep Farmers Transcriptions says he owned 163 sheep in 1910 and 230 in 1911 at Raetihi, Waimarino, Wellington, New Zealand In 1918 Transcript, he was in the same place with 450 sheep for 1917 and 255 in 1918

Gosnell held an evening at their home on Saturday last to celebrate the engagement of their eldest daughter, Jessie, to Jack, the eldest son of Mr and Mrs L D. Woodroffe, of Te Miro. The evening was spent with cards, dancing and singing. Songs were sung by Mrs D. Foster, Messrs J. Fell, and Bunty Saville and Master Ron Fell; Miss Colleen Fell gave two items of National dancing. The dance music was supplied by Mr C. Mason and the songs were accompanied by Mr Bunty Saville. The guests were: Mesdames L. R. Stevenson (Wellington). L. D. Woodroffe, C. E. Gosnell. R. Featherstone, C. Mason. N. Mason, E. McGrath, C. Fell, 1). Foster; Misses 1). Woodroffe, E. Woodroffe, J. Wright (Auckland). O. Walcroft, P. McGrath, C. Fell, G. McCandlish: Messrs J. W. G. Gosnell. 1. D. Woodroffe, J. W. A. Gosnell. C E. Gosnell, R. Pickering. 11. Featherstone. N. Mason, C. Mason. R. Ryder. B. Saville, J. Fell. E. McGrath. B. McGrath. W. J. Miller. Masters K. Baker, R. Fell and B. Fell. Toasts to the engaged couple and their parents were honoured and were suitably responded to."
