Around 1816 he received a land grant of 60 acres in the southern side of Currency Creek which is now Glossodia.
In 1819 he married Mary Humphries at Windsor.[2] By 1827, Thomas and Mary had settled at Upper Colo and in 1829 Thomas was appointed District Constable and Poundkeeper until 1832.
He purchased many farms in the district during his lifetime but the property at Upper Colo was where they eventually lived.
On Thomas' death[3] the property was divided into four sections of 20 acres each:
The section west of Comleroy Road was left to daughter Jane, where she and her husband, George Cavanough, established a well known accommodation house.
Another section went to son, George, where the Upper Colo Church and Burial Ground are located.
The other sections were left to sons William Henry and James.
Thomas and Mary were buried there in the Upper Colo Church and Burial Ground and a plaque to their memory was installed by The Gosper Family Society.[4]
