Elzéar Gosselin was born on 11 Jan 1847 and baptized the same day in Grande-Digue, New Brunswick, son of Charles Gosselin and Madeleine Léger.[1][2]
Elzéar married Henriette Cormier on 22 Jul 1867 in Bouctouche.[3] Witnesses were Charles Cormier (her brother) and Henriette Melançon.
Elzéar, widower of Henriette Cormier, married Marie Léger, daughter of Jean Baptiste Léger and Olive Jaillet, on 21 Jul 1873 in Grande-Digue.[4][5] A dispensation was granted for 2 to 3 degrees of affinity (Marie was the first cousin once removed of Elzéar's first wife Henriette, view relationship).
