Nathaniel and Hulda lived for a time on Little Cranberry Isle in a house which was built for her by Captain Samuel Hadlock. This house which stood on the site of Mrs. Lucinda Spurling Fernald's present dwelling was burned many years ago. Soon after his marriage to Hulda Hadlock, Nathaniel removed to what is now Greening's Island where he built a dwelling, store, fish house and wharf. His business ventures were not successful and he removed with his family to Gott's Island where he soon fell a victim to that dread disease, consumption as the old records have it. Taken to Boston for treatment, Nathaniel died just as the vessel upon which he was a passenger, cast anchor in Boston Harbor.[3]
Hulda Hadlock was born on 1 Mar 1802 at Mount Desert, Hancock, Maine. She was born on 1 Mar 1803 at Mount Desert, Hancock, Maine. She married William Pepperell Blunt, son of William Blunt and Mary Fernald, on 1 Mar 1820 at Maine. She married Jeremiah B. Broderick on 12 Sep 1831. She married Maurice Forhan on 20 Feb 1846 at Little Cranberry Isle, Hancock, Maine. She married Seth Hamilton on 18 May 1863 at Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts. She died on 20 Oct 1895 at Little Cranberry Isle, Hancock, Maine, at age 93. She died on 20 Oct 1895 at Bolton, Worcester, Massachusetts, at age 93. She was baptized in the LDS church [L].
