Mary Gould was baptised on July 10, 1743 at St Mary's Church in Buxhall, Suffolk.^[1] Her father was Thomas Gould.

Mary married Henry Grimwood (1739 - 1814) on October 11, 1763 by banns at St Mary's Church in Buxhall (her parish church).^[2] Banns were also read at All Saints Church in Hitcham (Henry's parish church).
