Mary Gould, twin sister of Catherine, was born in Nassau, Bahamas September 1759 to James Gould III and Susannah Pinder Gould.[1] [2]
She married Paul Lightbourn, son of Joseph Lightbourn and his first wife and a native of Bermuda, at Christ Church, Nassau 24 June 1778. The couple had children Susannah Gould, Joseph Goodwin, William Trimmingham, Mary Elizabeth, Paul Samuel, Katherine Gould, and Walter Gould Hinson Lightbourn.
Mary Gould Lightbourn died in the summer of 1800: The Bahama Gazette noted: "Death, Mrs. Lightbourn, wife of Paul Lightbourn, Esq. of this town. She was a most affectionate and attentive parent to a very numerous offspring; kind to all her relations..."
