William Gould was born June 13, 1823 in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. William is the son of William Gould and Sophia Boutelier.

William F. Whicher's The History of the town of Haverhill, New Hampshire, lists William Gould, Jr., as one of the 16 men from Haverhill who served in the Mexican-American War, under Col. Franklin Pierce. [1]

William marries to Olive Spooner daughter of Chester Spooner and Unknown Mother. Olive was born in Benton, New Hampshire on October 22, 1831.

William dies on August 23, 1899 at Warren, Grafton County, New Hampshire. Olive dies on December 23, 1915 at Warren, Groton, New Hampshire.

1. Lewis Gould was born on June 4, 1851 at Haverhill, Grafton, New Hampshire. Lewis dies on July 2, 1923 at Alton, Plymouth, New Hampshire from Cancer of the Stomach. Lewis was a Railroad Employee.

2. Ellen Gould was born in about 1854 at Haverhill, Groton, New Hampshire. Ellen marries to Charles Fellows. Ellen dies on November 14, 1942 at Warren, Grafton, New Hampshire.

3. Francis L. Gould was born on July 2, 1861 at Haverhill, Grafton, New Hampshire. Francis marries to Mary H. Walcott on October 17, 1885 in Vermont. Francis dies from accidental drowning when his boat overturns on June 19, 1921 at Warren, Grafton County, New Hampshire.

4. Eugene Herman Gould was born on March 29, 1876 at Haverhill, Grafton, New Hampshire. Eugene marries to Mertie Belle Heath on November 23, 1904 at Warner, Merrimack, New Hampshire. Mertie is the daughter of Alba B. Heath and Amy Howland. Eugene dies on August 11, 1914 at Warren, Grafton, New Hampshire.
