Biography

Esther Gould was born on December 31, 1738 in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Esther is the daughter of Nehemiah Gould and Esther Bowers.

Esther Gould marries to Simeon Spencer, the son of Timothy Spencer and Elizabeth Cowles, in 1764 at Springfield, Windsor, Vermont.

Esther dies on July 20, 1821 at Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont. Esther and Simeon are buried next to each other in the Summer Hill Cemetery, Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont.

Daniel Hill Spencer is the son of Timothy Spencer and Lois Hill. Daniel was born on June 23, 1762 in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont. According to the "Smith Family Bible" He died after 1850 in, Lapeer County, Michigan. Maria dies on August 26, 1845 in Lapeer County, Michigan.

2. Nehemiah Spencer was born in 1766 in Springfield, Vermont. Nehemiah marries to Martha Bragg on May 12, 1791 at Springfield. Martha Bragg was born about 1769 and died July 5, 1831 in Springfield. Martha Bragg is the daughter of Nicholas Bragg and Eleanor Coolier. Martha Bragg married first, William Never.

3. Aaron Spencer was born on January 29, 1771 in Springfield, Windsor, Vermont. Aaron dies on November 25, 1852 Rutland, Rutland, Vermont. Marries to Martha (Patty) Glazier on 1797 in Rutland. Martha dies on November 10, 1864.

6. Jonas Spencer was born on March 2, 1773 in Springfield, Vermont. Jonas marries Bethiah Bates on August 4, 1799 in Springfield, Vermont, USA. She dies 1822 in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont, USA.

Jonas marries second to Mercy (Tower) Shattuck on September 26, 1822. Mercy was born on January 31, 1779 and died on December 4, 1856 in Springfield, Vermont.
