Genl. and Commander in Chief December 23, 1771, then descended to Allen Gowen his lawful heir by lineal decent at his decease, land situate lying and being in Spartanburg County, SC, on the N side of Tyger River, NE on Thomas Fletcher’s land, all other sides vacant when surveyed.
