Robert Gragg, Jr. Insofar as i s known, Robert, Jr., was the eldest
son, and was born in Augusta County, Virginia . It is not known who
Robert, Jr., married, or the names of his children. He died intestate,
and according to his younger brother, Samuel, he (Robert) was
killed by Indians. It i s not known when Robert was killed , but it

a tax payer in 1782. His name i s mentioned several times in court

the Tax List of that year shows - "Robert Gragg, Jr., moved to Holston
(Tennessee).".[5]
Land grants were issued in Greene County, Tennessee, in the late
1780s, to Samuel, Thomas, Henry, John, and William, all brothers of
Robert, but there is no record of a land grant to Robert. Robert
was named as one of the executors of his father's will , dated in
1793. The War of 1812 records show all of Robert's brothers, with
the exception of William, enlisted in the East Tennessee Volunteer
Infantry - but not Robert. A conjecture i s , that Robert, Jr., was

INFORMATION:: Robert Jr is referenced in Robert Sr's will dated 1793 as an executor. Robert Jr is listed as "Killed by Indians" at death of Robert Sr in 1796 in the "Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Tennessee". It is then possible he died between 1793 and 1796. Although not knowing when the information was provided for entry in the "Roster" record, he could have died later, after his fathers death.

Gregg-646 and Gragg-56 are not ready to be merged because: Gragg-56 has unsupported and incorrect dates and information. It seems this Gragg is confused with Robert Gregg, Sr. as he is the Gregg that died in 1796. Robert Gregg, Jr died in 1832. In all my research I have never seen him with a listed middle name "John", BUT Robert Jr did have a son named Robert John Gragg. Once these incorrect items are corrected, it can be reviewed again for a merge.
Gragg-287 and Gragg-373 are not ready to be merged because: Date of death does not match. No source documentation has been found. Other than that everything else seems to be a match.
