When Esther Graham was born on 25 December 1786, in Monongalia, Virginia, United States, her father, David John Graham, was 23 and her mother, Hannah J. Sterling, was 19. She married Jonathan Jenkins[1] about 1803, in Virginia, United States.[2] They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 3 daughters. Esther lived in Monongalia, Virginia (now Preston, West Virginia, United States) in 1810[3] and Preston, Virginia, United States (now Preston, West Virginia, United States) in 1820[4] and 1830.[5] She died on 7 October 1839, in Preston, Virginia, United States (now Preston, West Virginia, United States), at the age of 52, and was buried in Jenkins Cemetery, Mount Nebo, Nicholas, West Virginia, United States.[6][7]
