Biography

Joseph S. Graham was born May 14, 1797 in Preston, West Virginia.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] He was the son of David John Graham and Hannah Sterling. [9][10][11][12][13][14] On July 16, 1816, he married Pennsylvania native Mary Polly Glover (1797-1845) in Guernsey, Ohio; they had seven known children. After Mary died, Joseph married Letitia LNU (abt.1805-1880) and they relocated to Van Buren, Iowa. Joseph died at age 80 on December 24, 1877 [15][16][17] and was buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, Van Buren County, Iowa. Letitia was interred beside him.
