Henry Graham’s sisters Elizabeth and Mary Graham were both married by 1764 when Henry died. Elizabeth’s husband James Hennery and Mary’s husband Lewis Morgan are both involved in Henry’s estate administration. Henry’s brothers James and Charles Graham were also mentioned in Henry Graham’s 1764 estate, but brother William was not - either because he was deceased or had left the province and his whereabouts were unknown. My family has always thought that William was our ancestor who left Pennsylvania and moved to Mecklenburg County, NC , and ultimately to Williamsburg District, SC. This however has not been proved.

This Henry Graham did not die in 1827 but in 1764, only a few months after his father James Graham’s death in October 1763. He had to have been born before 1747 and was likely at least twenty one in 1763 when his father makes provision for him in his will contingent upon him returning home to work James’s leased farm with the three young half brothers (John, George, and Joseph Graham) by his father’s second wife, Mrs. Mary McConnell Barber. He may have married, but there is no mention of a wife in his 1764 intestate estate administration papers in Chester County, PA probate records. If he had married, his wife obviously predeceased him. This Henry is not to be confused with Henry Hale Graham, a Chester County, PA probate court official, who may have been a relative.
