When John died Margaret was assigned as administrator of his estate on 6 November 1788. A son named James remained in NC on the family land and Margaret took the other four boys to live with her when she moved to York County, SC. She appears in the census records for York County in 1790, 1800 and 1810. An approximate birth year for her can be obtained by viewing her age ranges in the 1800 and 1810 census records. She possibly died around 1830 after moving to Tennessee with two of her sons.
Per the 16 August 1790 will of Jean Graham of York County, SC, she left her daughter Margaret 389 acres of land and a number of other items. Witnesses to the will included George and William Templeton. George Templeton was the son of James Templeton Senior of Iredell County, NC. John and Margaret lived on Davidson's Creek next to James Templeton's family. William was one of Margaret's sons and a grandson of Jean Graham.
