Research Notes

  • The Pedigree resource file note for David Smith Jr (b. 1764) gives Helen (Graham) Little (1755-1847) (daughter of William and Margaret, sister of David Graham, Jane Smith's husband) as his (David Smith's) wife. See https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:2:9MD7-8N7 : accessed 1 January 2021), entry for David Smith; file (2:2:2:MM9R-HQC), submitted 27 June 1999 by mhills2706840 [identity withheld for privacy]. This is however a case of mistaken identity, as the Helen Graham that married David Smith was born in 1773, daughter of Peter Graham.[3][4] Graham-17201 2 Jan 2021
