We haven’t heard back from you concerning the Scottish Clans Transition. If we haven’t received a response from you by 1 April 2020, you will be welcome to rejoin by answering the current g2g thread for joining the Scotland Project.
My name is Sarah and I’m the Project Coordinator for the Scotland Project. As you may have heard, we have merged the Scottish Clans project into the Scotland Project. I am contacting you today to find out if you are interested in continuing with us under this new format. If you would like to go forward on the Scottish Clans Team, please reply and let me know which clans you have been working on or would like to work on. I look forward to hearing from you.
I havent heard back from you about the break up of the United Kingdom Project. I hope all is well with you. I assume you dont wish to join any of the country-level projects at present, and will go ahead and remove the United Kingdom badge. If you wish to join England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland in the future, you would be most welcome to do so via the respective G2G sign-up post.
We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.
Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please dont assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.
Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.
Thanks for the note on my wall, it has been maddening tracking down the Graham's more than a few generations... at least to the point that I feel it is accurate. Hopefully when I get my tree fully updated on here (what I feel is accurate anyways) it will be of some assistance to you. Good Luck in your search!
Im Susie the new leader of the England Project. We are contacting all existing members of the project to find out how you are currently involved, and how you would like to be involved moving forward. Please have a look at the England Project page for more information, and then contact either myself or Gillian to let us know what youd like to do, or if you have any questions. We can then list your interests, help you join the team in the Google group forum for England, and give you any help you might need to get going. If we dont hear back from you well assume you no longer want to be a part of the England Project at this time.
Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you,
Mary, I arrived at Thornton Luther Hill's profile via the database errors project and decided to look into his family, which I do at times. I was able to find the family in the 1920 and 1930 census and amend some approx birth dates. Rueben Vance Thornton seems to have been Rubert. Please give this some scrutiny to see if you agree with my findings. Feel free to change anything I did to the profiles! (But seems like Rubert was a football star and decorated Marine.)
I've added the UK, Irish Roots and Scottish Clans Project badges to your profile. If you click on each badge it will take you to the full list of our wonderful members.
Click on United Kingdom Project will take you the first page of the project. Scroll down to participants. I've added your good self and your Country of interest etc. I've also added you to the England and Scotland Project member interests pages.
I've done likewise for the Irish Roots Project and Scottish Clans Project
Thanks for joining, enjoy and good luck with your research.
Maria

Hi Mary, You tagged your research interest in Scotland.
I wanted to let you know that we have two linked Projects you might be interested in Scotland Project and Scottish Clans Project.
If you would like to join either or both of these projects just let me know.
The Graham side of my family has been pretty easy for me because they were significant pioneers where I grew up.. Lots of family letters, etc. But the free ride ends when they jump on the boat to leave Ireland. Don't need to, but interested in reconstructing family lines from 1820, back across Ireland and into Scotland, if possible. As I understand it, parish church records are the only method to tract families in those dates?
PS - I joined the tree just this week : )
