Marion Graham was born about 1539 in Perth, Perthshire, Scotland, daughter of Gilbert Graham and Helen Kincaid.

She married, as his second wife, Alexander Alexander of Menstrie on 24 May 1581[1][2] .

Marion and Alexander had 5 children together:

  1. William Alexander, b. abt. 1567, later First Earl of Stirling.[2]
  2. Marion (Alexander) Paterson (m. Duncan Paterson, a merchant and burgess of Stirling)[2][3].
  3. Janet (Alexander) Forrester, who married on or after 14 December 1583 David Forrester of Logie[2].
  4. Elizabeth (Alexander) Neisch, was married on 25 September 1592, to Walter Neisch of Dubbiehead, Stirlingshire. Walter died of the plague in September 1606.[2].
  5. Christine (Alexander) Kinross, who married Patrick Kinross[2].
