Pierre Granger has English ancestors.

Pierre Granger was born around February 1671. He married Isabelle Guilbeau, daughter of Pierre Guilbeau and Catherine Thériot, around 1693. He passed away on 19 January 1737 at the age of 68 and was buried on the same day in Grand-Pré.[1][2][3]

1671 Port Royal Census: Laurent GRANGER, 34, wife Marie LANDRY 24; Children: Marguerite 3, Pierre 9 months; cattle 5 sheep 6.[4]

1678 Port Royal Census: Laurans Granger & Marie Landry; 4 acres 6 cattle 1 gun; 4 boys 9 1669, 6 1672, 4 1674, 2 1676, 1 girl 11 1667[5]

In 1686 at Port Royal, Pierre age 16 was living with his parents Laurens (sic) GRANGER age 46 (sic) and Marie LANDRY age 36 and his 6 siblings: Marguerite age 18, Jacques age 14, Rene age 10, Claude age 8, Marie age 6 and Anne age 2. The family owned 1 gun and was living on 3 arpents of cultivable land with 8 cattle, 6 sheep and 6 hogs. [6]

1703 Les Mines Census: Pierre GRANGER, his wife, 3 boys ,[sic] 1 girl, [sic] 1 arms bearer. (See research notes) [9]

1707 Minas Census: Pierre GRANGER, his wife, 2 boys less than 14, 3 girls less than 12; 2 arpents, 6 cattle, 2 sheep, 10 hogs. [10]

1714 Les Mines Census: Pierre GRANGER and wife, 2 sons, 5 daughters. [11]

Research Notes

Stephen White noted in his Dictionnaire p. 764 that there are errors in the 1703 census. 3 boys and 1 girl were counted. By 1703, the following children were born in this family: Marie, Joseph, Elisabeth and Charles: 2 boys, 2 girls.
