Marguerite Granger, daughter of Joseph Granger and Anne Richard, was born 1 Jan 1740, baptized 2 Jan 1749. Her godparents were Paul Granger & Magdeleine Daigre; Joseph Granger signed.[1]
She was listed at age 13 in the 1752 census at Grande Anse, Isle Saint-Jean, in the household of her sister Françoise, headed by her brother-in-law Étienne Melanson.[2]

Estienne Melançon, ploughman, native of l'Acadie, aged 30 years, he has been in the country two years. Married to Françoise Grangerre, native of l'Acadie, aged 24 years.
They have one son and two daughters:
Joseph Melançon, aged 4 years.
LaBlanche, aged 2 years.
Elizabeth, aged 4 months.
Paul Granger, aged 30 years, brother.
Margueritte, aged 13 years, sister.
They have in live stock, two oxen, three ewes, two heifers, two calves, and five pigs. The land upon which they are settled is situated as in the preceding cases. It was given to them verbally by Monsieur de Bonnaventure. On it, they have made a clearing for the sowing of six bushels of wheat.

Maternal relationship is confirmed through Mitochondrial DNA test results on Family Tree DNA. John Stephen Parker FTDNA kit # 1012632, (a grandchild of Dora Jackson) and his maternal line cousin Annette Fagnan Hebert-Autio FTDNA kit # 406832, (a grandchild of Ursule Martin) have a Genetic Distance = 1 in HVR2 at C324T, thereby confirming their direct maternal lines back to their most-recent common ancestor who is Andree Guyon the 8x great grandmother of Dora Jackson and the 7x great grandmother of Ursule Martin.
