Jean Treville Granger, son of Jean Baptiste Granger and Pelagie Broussard, was born on 15 November 1805 in or near St. Martinville, Louisiana, where he was baptized a few years before statehood.[1][2]

His known siblings were:

  2. Joseph Belisaire Granger (1811 - 1866)
  3. Aspasie (Granger) LeBleu (1817 - >1870)


Jean married Modeste LeBleu (1816 - ~1852) on 15 June 1831 in Opelousas, St. Landry, Louisiana.[3][4][5]

Their known children were:

  2. Louis Treville Granger (1840)[7]
  3. Francois Treville Granger (1843)[8]
  4. Tresimond Granger (1847 - 1916)[9]

In 1850 they were living in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, with four sons and a daughter.[14]

Jean died on 30 November 1881 in Lake Charles, Calcasieu, Louisiana. He was buried at Sallier Cemetery in Lake Charles, Louisiana.[15]
