The original version of this profile was based on the ancestry source, which has here LNAB as Granger. Based on newly added sources, her LNAB appears to have been Goetche, perhaps later changed to Goutcher. This was perhaps corrupted into the Granger of the ancestry source.
Mary first married a man named McKee, who apparently died prior to 1786

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
The first source claims she was a witness to an Aug 1770 Deed, so she was clearly born well before 1772. I have changed her DOB to before 1760, though this is just an estimate.
Although I changed the LNAB to Geotsche, as cited in the first source, it was possibly Goetsche, as mentioned in the 2nd source in some places. I have seen the second spelling, and it would have been pronounced Getsha.
I haven't changed the POB yet, since I have not yet found the reference to Europe.
Additionally, her 1772 DOB seems doubtful since Elizabeth was born in 1788 and Stephen was husband #2.
This Mary who married Stephen Duke did not have the maiden surname of Granger nor Crenshaw. Circa 2000, Mary was proved via historical records to be Mary Geotche who married first to a McKee, had two daughters and as a widow married Stephen Duke. Mary Geotche McKee Duke was not born in Kershaw County, SC. She immigrated from Europe with her father Thomas, his wife, several sisters and a brother. If you are interested in learning about Mary, see https://genealogy.ztlcox.com/~xcc2all/stephendukefamily.htm and https://genealogy.ztlcox.com/~ztlcox/genealogynotesduke.html . By the way, Stephen Duke is NOT the son of Robert Duke (Duke-3119).
Mary Goucher, born 1722, does not appear to be Mary Granger, born 1772, unless the DOB is wrong. Both appear to have been born to Stephen Duke, with some common children's names and reasonable DOBs if we use source S664 and not Source S658.
Perhaps this is a composite profile of two people.
