Sarah was born in New York 1774 to John Grant and Sarah Bergen. Sarah's Father was in the British military.(see his profile) After the fall of New York the family evacuated their home.

Sarah arrived in Nova Scotia October 16, 1783 aboard the S.S. Stafford with her parents and siblings.

Sarah's father was granted land in Nova Scotia for his military service. They called the land "Loyal Hill".

Sarah married John Parker November 8, 1791.

Sarah died October 31, 1802 at the age of 28 and is buried in the Walton Parker Cemetery beside her husband.
