Biography

Archibald Lamont Grant was born 1891 in Hardwoodlands, Hants County, Nova Scotia to Peter Grant and Martha McPhee. They were a farming family and Archibald followed in those footsteps. On June 12, 1918 in Shubenacadie, Hants County, Nova Scotia, Archibald, at the age of 28, married Elizabeth Eleanor Wardrope. Elizabeth, born in Milford, was also from a farming family. Her parents were Edmund Wardrope and Margaret Jane Benjamin. It was not to be a lasting union. Unfortunately, Archibald Lamont Grant would develop Consumption just six months after the union and would labour for 2 months before dying February 17, 1919 at the age of 28 in Shubenacadie. He is buried in Milford. I am unable to find children from this marriage.
